Deb and Red asked me to tell my story so here it is all the good and the bad
The treatments are very easy to take...... an iv is put in then fliud is pushed thru for 20 minutes , then the blue novatrone, then more clear fluid....... all in all it takes just over an hour then back home you go. I get two types of Rx barf meds before the treatment and a Rx to take at home if needed............ most don't but I sure do . I did well on the first two treatments..just sick a little bit and only for a couple of days. I didnt even have any flare-ups or bad symptoms but ..... ???then everything went down hill for me. I started getting very very sick as soon as the med entered my system and it stayed for a couple of weeks after. I began loosing alot of hair and the worst part I began to progress again. I started a flare-up in April and its just letting up now. To be totally fair I must say I am under huge stress from personal family issues so I can't blame it all on the novatrone. Unfortunately it hasnt worked its majic with me but my docs hope it will cause my system to accept interferons now as they didnt work in me before. Please remember this is only my experiece with it. My system is very funny when it comes to any medication even Tylenol for pete sake . Novatrone has been very successful in "worsening r/r" ms'ers so give it a try. Unfortunately spms hasn't had the same results. I am still optimistic and very hopefull. I wish you great success with it.
